Do you think you know what 'Confidence' means?

Hi guys

So, my Inquiry has been amazing and has opened my eyes to a lot of things.
Below is a few interesting things I've found out, which I think you'll find interesting too:

  1. Did you know that Confidence is actually based more on Self-Efficacy than anything else?
  2. Did you know that shyness has nothing to do with Confidence? It's about being very self-conscious and feeling anxious.
  3. Did you know that having courage is not the same as having confidence?
  4. Self-esteem is not confidence. Self-esteem is based on the things that you value the most in your life such as; your dancing, your job, your teaching, your looks, your character etc. It is how you think of yourself in all of those things that you find are the most important to you. But, you would need self-esteem in some things to be able to feel confident.
  5. A lot of people who appear and act confidently most of the time don't necessarily feel confident in everything that they say or do. Real confidence is having self-efficacy; having an experience in some particular thing which reminds them that they can do that particular thing, which makes them feel confident in doing that particular thing again. Most of those seemingly confident people are really more self-assured and courageous than anything else. They aren't as self-conscious.
I've found all of this out during my inquiry from Literature and a professional Psychologist.
A lot of people, including myself, have never really known what confidence is, yet we say the word so freely in our daily lives.
So even typing this post, I'm feeling a sense of confidence. I've typed before, I can spell (most things,) and I can read what I've already put. So I feel confident in typing, spelling and reading.

Mind-boggling.
Thought you might find this interesting.
